Tech and Apollo High Schools were named in US News and World Report’s 2012 Edition of Best High Schools this week.

According to the report, Tech High School ranked top in the region, and 35th in the state; Additionally, Apollo High School ranked highest in the region for College Readiness. The report has data on nearly 22,000 public schools nationwide.

U.S. News determines the how well students are prepared for college-level work by analyzing student success in Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate programs, which both include college-level courses.
