Archived: Three Weekend Cow-Thefts Reported in Stearns County
The Stearns County Sheriff’s office is reporting three incidents of cows being stolen this weekend in Melrose and St. Martin townships. The farmers involved in the incidents reported that during the previous night someone had come onto their farm and stole the calves.
According to Sheriff John Sanner, it appeared that someone had parked a distance away and carried the calves off. The calves are described as 4 Holstein bulls, 1 Holstein Heifer, and 1 Jersey Heifer.
The Sheriff’s office is investigating these thefts and is asking for anyone with information to call 320-251-4240.
