Stearns County Deputies and officers from the Waite Park and St. Cloud Police departments along with Minnesota State Troopers responded to an assault in progress early Saturday morning. The call came from the Bel Clare Estates mobile home park on Joymar Drive.

Upon arrival officers determined that 34-year-old Israel Ricardo Ramirez had allegedly assaulted a female in the residence. He then assaulted those who tried to help her by swinging a piece of metal at them. Ramirez was arrested at the scene and taken to the Stearns Country Jail on charges of alleged domestic assault by strangulation and terroristic threats.

While officers were interviewing victims at the St. Cloud Hospital, 18-year-old Jose Ricardo Alaniz arrived with a pipe and allegedly assaulted witnesses outside the hospital. Alaniz was then arrested on charges of 2nd Degree Assault, one count for his actions at the mobile home park and one count for the incident at the hospital.
