Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in a two car collision on St. Cloud’s east side. It happened just before midnight Thursday night at Highway 23 and 14th Avenue Southeast. Police say 34-year-old Jennifer Marie Novak of Sartell went through a red turn arrow and was hit by a car driven by a 64-year-old St. Cloud man. Novak’s car flipped over onto the roof and slid into a Metro Bus that was stopped. None of the five people riding the Metro Bus were hurt. Both of the drivers involved in the car crash were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Novak is being charged for driving without a license and running a red light.
