Archived: Two Historical Grants Awarded in Central MN

The Minnesota Historical Society has awarded two grants help preserve history and cultural heritage in central Minnesota. The Haehn Museum at St. Benedict’s Monastery in St. Joseph received more than $4,000 for artwork conservation, while the city of St. Cloud received $7,000 to expand its self-guided audio tour of the Mississippi River.

The society will award a total of $6.75 million in Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants to nonprofit and educational organizations, government units and tribes during the 2010 and 2011 fiscal years.
