Two separate bike accidents involving cars occurred Friday. The first happened just after 2 p.m. when 11-year-old Jonh Sithamat of St. Cloud crossed the ditch onto the frontage road on Highway 10 South on his bike.

The bicyclist was hit on the right side of a car driven by 75-year-old Judith Neelund of St. Cloud. The bicyclist received minor injuries to his right arm and was released to his father.

In the second accident, an 11-year-old girl of St. Cloud was riding her bike on the 9th Avenue South sidewalk near 13th Street South at about 9 p.m. when a 17-year-old male driver of St. Cloud who was exiting an alley hit her.

Gold Cross Ambulance transported the girl to the St. Cloud Hospital for minor injuries to her wrist. The driver was not cited because of poor visibility and because the bicyclist was riding on the wrong side of the street.
