Two fires happened in a matter of hours in St. Cloud. The first fire started late Monday night in a house located in the 10 block of 31st Avenue. The fire fully engulfed the house in a short amount of time. Investigation found that the fire started from oil on a stove inside the house. The fire is believed to have started by accident, and there were no injuries. However, the house looks to be a total loss.

The second fire happened early Tuesday morning at the 1500 block of 16th Avenue southeast where lightning struck an apartment building setting it on fire. No one in the building was injured and the Red Cross is providing temporary shelter for the residents of the apartment while repairs are made.
