A traffic stop turned into a mile long pursuit for the St. Cloud Police early Monday morning.

The pursuit started at 4th Street South and 9th Avenue South at around one a.m. and continued into the Southside campus area.

Police suspected that 21-year-old Marqus Lashawn McGlothan of St. Cloud was under the influence of alcohol.

McGlothan is facing charges of allegedly fleeing police in a motor vehicle, 4th degree DWI, 3rd degree DWI test refusal, and multiple traffic violations.

He is currently being held at the Stearns County Jail.
