Update: Waite Park Gas Station Employee Injured After Man Hurls Red Bull Can

UPDATE: The suspect has turned himself in to police and is cooperating with authorities.

A Superamerica employee was taken to the hospital after an unknown suspect assaulted him Saturday night.

The Waite Park Police Department says officers were called to the gas station just before 11:30 p.m after an assault had taken place.

A male suspect had entered the store to buy a Red Bull. However, as he was leaving, he got into an argument with the employee. As a result of the altercation, the suspect threw the full can of Red Bull at the employee, hitting him in the face.

The suspect left the scene in a silver four-door car driven by an unknown woman. It’s believed the two came to the gas station after leaving the theater across the street.

The suspect is described as a black male standing just over six feet tall. He has short hair and was wearing a long-sleeve red, white, and blue shirt with blue jeans. The driver was described as having lighter skin and long, dark hair.

The injured employee was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with an eye injury.
