What if the Moon did not exist? Astronomer and Author Neil F. Comins will be discussing this in a series of two discussions at SCSU this week.
Comins will correct misconceptions about the sun and moon and examine other mistaken beliefs about the natural world and will also explore what Earth would be like if the moon had never formed. Comins is a Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Maine and has written numerous books on astronomy and space.
Both presentations will take place this Thursday and are free and open to the public. The first presentation will be at 3 p.m. in the Wick Science Building in room 124. The next presentation will begin at 7 p.m. in Ritsche Auditorium.
