A 20 year old Waite Park woman was arrested Thursday afternoon and is facing assault charges.  Sherrell Williams was taken to the Stearns county jail for allegedly attempting to stab a family member.

Waite Park police were called to 501 7th Street South and determined that an argument led to the attempted assault with a knife. No family members were injured in the altercation.

Williams is facing 2nd degree assault charges.
