Early Sunday morning St. Cloud Police were flagged down by employees of the Press Bar in regards to an intoxicated woman. Officers observed that 29-year-old Monica Ann Jones of St. Cloud was being assisted out of the bar by her friends and due to her intoxication level, it was determined that she was going to be taken to the St. Cloud hospital for treatment.

While trying to place Jones in the back of a squad car, she began to resist officers and kicked an officer in the thigh. Jones was placed under arrest for obstructing the legal process, disorderly conduct and 4th degree assault. After receiving treatment at the St. Cloud Hospital, Jones was taken to the Stearns County Jail where she spit in the face of a Stearns County correctional officer.

Jones is now being held for court on charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing the legal process and two counts of 4th degree assault. None of the officers sustained injuries during these assaults.
