Archived: Woman Suffers Head Injury in Single Car Crash
Stearns County Deputies responding to a report of a single car accident early Sunday morning found the driver of the car walking about one-and-a-half miles from the scene of the crash with a severe laceration to the head.
Police say Amanda Rae Clement of Richmond was traveling north Co. Rd 9 in Avon Township when she crossed the center line and drove into the west ditch. Clement travelled nearly 300 feet before striking a tree. Officers responding to the call at 4:00 A.M. found the 22-year-old walking down the road with a severe head wound. She was taken to St. Cloud Hospital by ambulance. According to the Stearns County Sherriff’s office, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
