A fraudulent sweepstakes has been reported in the St. Cloud area.

Police were called to the 300 block of Laudenbach Court on Saturday, and a police investigation found that a woman had a letter saying she had won $2,160,000 and was required to pay a processing fee of $34.99 before receiving the winnings. These letters have no business listed to them, no customer service phone number and a PO Box address from a different state.

Police are asking that anyone who receives one of these letters to destroy them immediately, as they are fraudulent.
