The SCSU women’s hockey team suffered a pair of setbacks in Grand Forks, ND this weekend to fall to 2-4 on the season. The Huskies were defeated 3-1 on Friday night before being shut out 1-0 on Saturday night.

Molli Mott got the Huskies lone goal on the weekend in the second period of Friday’s game. It was the junior’s first of the season with assists to Alex Nelson and Haylea Schmid.

Freshman goaltender Katie Fitzgerald was impressive in net for SCSU on Saturday, as she recorded 34 saves in the narrow loss.

The Huskies are at Providence this weekend for a rare Saturday-Sunday series.
