Community counselor and business owner from St. Cloud Zachary Dorholt has filed paperwork with the Stearns County Auditor to run for Minnesota State Representative from District 14B. The district covers east, north, and central St. Cloud, and also includes the townships of Haven and Minden.

Dorholt is a mental health counselor, and is part owner of ZAM properties. In the past, he has served as treasurer of the Central MN Sustainability Project.

The current District 14B representative Larry Hosch announced, in a letter on his website, that he will not seek re-election in 2012.

Dorholt says he hopes to represent 14B with a “combination of hard work and a commitment to putting the community and its citizens first.”
