A Kimball resident escaped her burning house with minor injuries this past Saturday.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Department says the homeowner, 73-year-old Judy Anderson, was using a lighter to burn a wood tick wrapped in a napkin. Authorities say paper nearby caught on fire and started the blaze.

Kimball Fire Department put out the fire and Anderson was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
