What is The Blues? Arts and Cultural Heritage Reporter Jeff Carmack looks for the answer as he explores the Head Water Blues Opry, performed at the Pioneer Place Theater in St. Cloud. Unique with its audience emersion, The Head Water Blues Opry is “kind of” a musical and is written and directed by SCSU Professor Rex Veeder with a musical score written and performed by local Blues artist Leon Laudenbach. You’ll hear interviews with Rex Veeder, Dan Barth from the Pionner Place, and Iron Cat, a character from the Opry, as well as a selection of original music from the show.
