Maria Flores of the EEOC Visits St. Cloud State University
Program Analyst with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Maria Flores visited St. Cloud State University on September 23-24, 2013. Ms. Flores gave a presentation titled “National Origin and Immigrant Worker Discrimination Issues.”
As part of her job she serves as an outreach coordinator for employers and employees and travels widely in the Midwest.
In this podcast Ms. Flores discusses many topics including the E-Race Initiative, local immigrant worker rights for Latino/Latina and Somali immigrants as well as employment rights for workers diagnosed with cancer and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA).
