The Untold Story of the Traditional Low Tech Lives of the Fur Trading Rendezvous in Minnesota

It’s a trap! Arts and Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack visits with a group of folk who have carried the traditions and skills of colonial fur traders into the modern world.

In August 2014, Rendezvous Re-enacters are what they are called, and recently they came together in Clearwater, MN, for a Saturday of demonstrations and family fun. Rendezvous are plentiful during the summer months in Minnesota, including Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17th at the Forrest City Stockade, a fort that played a role in the Sioux Uprising in 1862 and is located only about 45 minutes from St. Cloud.

This program is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant.
