Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon at the Miller Center focuses on a surprisingly underrepresented group, women in history

Over the past few years, people have realized that while Wikipedia has become a massive online resource and opportunity for history to be written by the individuals living it, Wikipedia also has some very large holes within its content that correspond to underrepresented groups, most specifically women.  In this installment of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota, Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack talks with SCSU’s Rachael Wexelbaum about the recent Wikipedia-Edit-a-Thon held at the Miller Learning Resource Center which is part of an international effort to begin fixing that.

This program is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant.
