The St. Cloud State Husky soccer team defeated MSU-Moorhead 1-0 Saturday to earn their first NSIC win of the season. The loss was the Dragons’ first of the season in six games, while the Huskies improved to 3-4 overall in 2011. 

Sophomore midfielder Kara Dahmen scored in the 62nd minute to provide the winning goal for SCSU. Her third goal of the season was scored on a header after a corner kick by senior midfielder Karen Clapp. Sophomore goalie Kenlie Hanzlik recorded her second consecutive shutout for St. Cloud State.

The Huskies take the pitch once again on Sunday for youth soccer night.
