Archived: SCSU Women’s Basketball Recruits Update

It may only be April but the college basketball game is a 24/7 affair. Dan Papp of the KVSC Sports Department sat down with head coach of the St. Cloud State women’s basketball team, Lori Fish, to talk about the four new recruits joining the Husky program this coming season.

Two point guards were recruited; Andrea Thomas from Mauston, Wisconsin and  Mackenzie Uter from Howard Lake Waverly-Winsted. Lauren Novak was the third guard in the recruiting class and is a long 5’11 graduate of Eau Claire Memorial high school in Wisconsin. The recruiting class is rounded out by the 5’10 forward Amanda Christianson from Alexandria, Minnesota.

Listen to the full length, exclusive, interview here. Dan Papp and Lori Fish expand on the new recruits’ backgrounds, skill set and how they will mesh with the rest of the team. Get a glimpse of head coach Lori Fish’s priorities during this offseason, what she feels the team and players need to improve on most, and just how "wide open" the playing opportunities are for next season.
