On Monday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., the Minneapolis-based Americana duo The Pines will be in the KVSC studios for a special live performance as part of Minnesota Music Day brought to you by Your Sound Alternative.

The Pines (David Huckfelt and Benson Ramsey) have a peacefully acoustic sound that challenges the traditional roots music, yet embraces some of the stylings of the current indie-rock and blues scene. With the release of their 2009 album "Tremolo," The Pines continue providing intricate acoustic melodies and refined songwriting. David and Ben keep to their modern roots they had with their second album and continue receiving much acclaim for their third release.
