-The St. Cloud State Women’s basketball team took on the Winona State warriors at 4:00 pm on December 6th. Both teams clashed evenly throughout the 2 first quarters.

Key plays from the huskies Kristi Kottke and Jada Eggebrecht gave the huskies a small lead heading into the last 2 quarters. However Winona state would keep the game close with the help of Hailey Markworth and her excellent midrange shooting.

Jada Eggebrecht tried to extend the huskies lead with great drives that drew contact and got her to the line. The Warriors would respond with some great defensive play and take the lead late in the 4th quarter.

Winona state was able to outlast St. Cloud state with good free throw shooting despite the huskies making 2 three’s in the final seconds of the 4th. Winona State defeated St Cloud state 72-66 in a game that had 12 lead changes.
