Men’s Hockey Takes Four of Six Points in Oxford.

The St. Cloud State men’s hockey team split their weekend series with the Miami Redhawks.  The Huskies lost in overtime on Friday and rebounded to win on Saturday.  

St. Cloud earned four of six possible points against the Redhawks. Senior Grant Ahcan had three goals on the weekend. 

In Friday’s game, St. Cloud State defeated Miami 6-5 in overtime. Gavyn Thoreson scored two goals in the game while Barrett Hall had two points.  

The Huskies twice overcame two-goal deficits and pushed the game to overtime.  St. Cloud also killed off two Miami 5 on 3 powerplays in the game.

Saturday’s game saw St. Cloud rebound with a 4-2 win.  Grant Ahcan scored two goals and Patriks Berzins made 35 saves.  

The Huskies earned four of the 6 possible points on the weekend.  St. Cloud State is now 7-7-0 on the year.

Husky Volleyball Wins Second Straight NSIC Championship.

The St. Cloud State volleyball team has won the 2025 NSIC Tournament Championship.  On Sunday, the Huskies beat Concordia St. Paul 3-0. 

The win gives SCSU their second straight NSIC Championship.  It is the fourth time in the last five years the Huskies have won the tournamet.

Shelby Kimm led the Huskies with 17 kills and 13 digs. Kimm’s performance earned her her 16th double-double of the year. 

St. Cloud State volleyball won 12 of their 13 sets played in the 2025 NSIC Volleyball Tournament.  They swept SMSU in the Quarterfinals and Wayne State in the Semifinals.

In the semifinals Sophomore libero Lauren Hamann set an individual match record at SCSU with 38 digs.

SCSU’s Planet Receives 2025 NSIC Elite Award.

St. Cloud State volleyball’s Emilie Planert has been named the 2025 NSIC Elite 18 Award Winner.  The award acknowledges the player with most credits earned and the highest grade point average among the final four NSIC tournament teams in 2025.

Women’s Soccer Advances to Sweet Sixteen.

St. Cloud State women’s soccer defeated Central Missouri 2-1 to advance to the NCAA sweet sixteen.  

On Sunday, St. Cloud State bested Central Missouri 2-1 in overtime. Husky Junior Grace Olson scored the game winning goal for SCSU.

The Huskies topped Pittsburgh State 3-0 on Friday. St. Cloud’s Ellie Primerano scored two goals in the win.  The win over Pittsburg State was St. Cloud State’s first ever NCAA Tournament game.
