Women’s Basketball
St. Cloud State bounced back from losing to one of the best teams in the country in Mankato on Tuesday. The Huskies came back home to host Alaska Fairbanks on Saturday and won convincingly, 101-53. SCSU finished the first quarter up 30-9, never giving up the lead. Brynn Olsen led the way scoring, as she finished with 16 points off the bench. Jada Eggebrecht and Abigail O’Reilly each had 14 points in the victory. The Huskies dominated around the basket, grabbing 59 rebounds and scoring 44 points in the paint.
Men’s Basketball
After starting conference play with a road win in Mankato, St. Cloud State had their home opener on Saturday. The Huskies took advantage of home court, beating Minnesota Crookston 83-68. SCSU’s Luke Winkel finished with 25 points in 26 minutes of playing time. The Huskies snatched 16 offensive rebounds, leading to 24 second-chance points.
Women’s Hockey
St. Cloud State took part in the D1 in D.C. event for NCAA women’s hockey last weekend. They took on Colgate and Clarkson, wrapping up their non-conference schedule for the season. Sofianna Sundelin would star for the Huskies on Friday, scoring a hattrick and the overtime game-winning-goal in a 3-2 win over Colgate. SCSU couldn’t find their offense on Saturday, as they lost 2-0 to Clarkson. Goalie Emilia Kyrkkö started both games, recording 57 saves on the weekend.
Women’s Soccer
St. Cloud State had their historic season come to an end on Sunday. The Huskies lost in the NCAA D2 women’s soccer central region final to Washburn, 1-0. Goalkeeper Jaylee Strickland would record 5 saves on the day in the loss. SCSU finishes the 2025 season with an overall record of 16-3-5.
