St. Cloud State University has named a new Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management. After a national search Dr. Jason Woods will start this new position in February.

President Robbyn Wacker announced Woods in a campus-wide email last week. He was selected after a national search and a university hiring team interviewed candidates.

Jason Woods will become the first person to hold this new position permanently, it was held by Jacqueline McMillan on an interim basis after she was appointed last spring. 

The president says Woods’ job with strategic enrollment management will include focusing the university’s efforts on recruitment and retention of students as well as being a partner in reviewing the university’s program offerings and building relationships within the community. 

Woods is currently at Western Illinois University where he is Associate Vice President for Student Services. He has 20 years of enrollment and student life-related experience in higher education working with everything from career development to veterans resources, to admissions, teaching and coaching.
