The History and Future of Downtown St. Cloud with Brian Schoenborn

Today’s Untold Stories of Central Minnesota goes downtown. In the 1850’s, three small villages of Southerners, Yankees, Protestants and German Catholics came together to form the City of St. Cloud, and one of those villages, Middle Town, became what we call today “Downtown St. Cloud.” Exploring this history, Arts and Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack talks with Brian Schoenborn about the past and the future of downtown St. Cloud. Schoenborn spoke at the Stearns History Museum’s Breakfast Club in August 2015 to go into greater detail about some of these interesting stories from the past and to discuss the innovative plans for the future.

This program is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant.
