Archived: Second Half of “Monday Night Live” Begins Jan. 17 with e.g. Baily

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Season 19 of “Monday Night Live” (MNL) continues with e.g. Baily Jan. 17. As is expected from MNL, the second half of the season continues to showcase the diverse radio format of KVSC 88.1FM. Opening 2011 on MNL is e.g. Baily, a spoken word artist from Minneapolis. The season progresses with hip-hop artist Kristoff Krane and bluegrass/jazz group Galactic Cowboy Orchestra both from Minneapolis. Tune in to 88.1FM or listen online at www.kvsc.org every Monday at 10 p.m. for the one-hour program live from the KVSC performance studio.

Performing on MNL Jan. 31 is Kristoff Krane, a hip-hop artist with indie rock influences. With performances at Fine Line Music Café and First Avenue 7th St Entry, Kristoff Krane has created a unique brand of freestyle mixed with acoustic guitar, piano and loop beats known to resonate with audiences of various tastes in music.

The gypsy jazz and bluegrass group Galactic Cowboy Orchestra performs Feb. 7. The group’s second album “Lookin’ For A Little Strange,” released in 2009, “incorporates so many styles so fluidly that it’s hard to imagine a music fan who won’t be impressed and intrigued by it," Jordan Blum, Philadelphia Rock Music Examiner.
