Feel like casting a line without a fishing license? The annual Take-A-Kid Fishing Weekend runs from Friday, June 10th through Sunday, June 12th. During these days Minnesotans can fish without a license as long as they have a child under the age of 15 with them. This annual weekend is meant to keep adults and children interested in fishing throughout Minnesota. The DNR’s website has a great amount of fishing information such fishing pier locations. Those unable to partake in the annual Take-A-Kid Fishing Weekend can pick up a fishing license for a reasonable price and are valid through April 30th, 2012.
