Archived: Law Enforcement Break Up Underage Party

Around 2 a.m. early Saturday morning 52 minors received tickets for underage drinking. The Stearns County Sheriff’s office had been given a tip off about an underage party in the city of St. Augusta and patrolled the area until they found the home where a large number of vehicles were parked.

When deputies approached the home about 20-25 people dropped alcoholic containers and ran, however they were able to gather the rest of the people at the party. Law enforcement says there was also a fire that was larger than recreational size and they did not have a burning permit.

The sheriff’s office says this isn’t the first time the home has been the site of underage parties in the last 3 months. Also assisting the Stearns County Sheriff in the situation was the Minnesota State Patrol.
