Man Charged with Felony Domestic Assault

A man is being charged with felony domestic assault after police say he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. St. Cloud Police were called to the 1500 block of Prairie Hill Road for a domestic disturbance just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officers say a 22-year-old St. Cloud woman was assaulted by boyfriend who is identified as 29-year-old David Robert Rivard of Stanchfield, Minnesota. Rivard was located at an address in Stanchfield and taken into custody for felony domestic assault based on his past history of criminal convictions. Rivard is currently being held in the Stearns County Jail.
