Mexico's Independence Day Celebration
09/17/2012 - 8:45 AM
Sunday, September 16 was remembered as Mexico’s Independence Day. On that day, in 1810, people in Mexico were urged to fight for freedom from Spanish rule. In this week, several other countries of the Americas will celebrate their independence as they also continue to struggle for decolonization of their borders, people and cultures.
In honor of this struggle and independence, MEChA de SCSU invites you to celebrate Dia de La Independencia at the west side of the Atwood Memorial Center, from 5 to 7 p.m on Wednesday.
