St. Cloud State University is moving forward to become one of six Minnesota universities to charge banded tuition for students.

If approved, starting fall of 2017, students taking between 12-18 credits will pay a flat tuition rate for all classes. The rate is based on paying for 15 credits worth of courses. St. Cloud State’s tuition rate will be mirroring the lowest rate in the state, which is held by Minnesota State Mankato.

Final approval is expected towards the end of spring semester.
