Late Monday night St. Cloud Police responded to a burglary in progress. At 11:15 p.m. officers arrived at the 100 block of 4th Avenue Northeast in St. Cloud and met with the 64-year-old victim of St. Cloud.

The victim said that a man had attempted to enter his apartment through his bedroom window by pulling the screen off. Officers were able to locate the man on the east side of the building and after a short foot pursuit he was caught. The alleged suspect was 29-year-old Patrick David Jacobson of St. Cloud. Jacobson received medical treatment for minor injuries received prior to officers making contact with him.

Jacobsen is currently being held in the Benton County Jail on charges of 1st degree burglary, obstructing the legal process and fleeing police on foot.
