Archived: Three To Six Inches Possible In May Snow Storm

The St. Cloud area saw a record snow fall in April with 24.4 inches, but the snow is not ready to stop.

According to SCSU Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman, the best chance for accumulating snow will be tonight, although there will be some wet snowflakes mixed in with rain during the day. There may be slush on the roads Thursday morning, so drivers can expect a slower morning commute.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the St. Cloud area with snow totals of 3-6 inches possible.

According to Weisman, the St. Cloud area will get little to no snow. However, if the storm track moves slightly, it could mean the difference between getting barely any snow and a lot of snow.
