Two Women Arrested After Assault

Two women are in jail after an alleged assault happened on Sunday. St. Cloud Police were called to the 1500 block of 2nd Street North early Sunday morning for a terroristic threats complaint.
According to the report, 30-year-old Ashley Shavon Hammond and 29-year-old Latrice Lashawn Clark got into a physical altercation during which Hammond threatened to assault Clark with a knife; however a knife was never displayed.
During the incident, Clark kicked Hammond in the head, causing a cut that required staples to close. After receiving treatment at the St. Cloud Hospital, Hammond was taken to the Stearns County Jail and is being held pending charges of terroristic threats, 5th degree assault and disorderly conduct.
The disorderly conduct charge is from Hammond’s behavior at the hospital. Clark was arrested and is being at the Stearns County Jail on charges of 3rd degree assault.
