The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will be sending conservation officer Garrett Thomas out on Crystal Lake in Burnsville to remind anglers about upcoming deadlines to remove their ice fishing shelters. 

All structures in the southern two-thirds of the state must be removed by the end of the day on Monday, March 2^nd. In the upper third of Minnesota the deadline is set for the end of the day on March 16^th. 

Officer Thomas will be out giving reminders and discussing regulations on Thursday, February 27^th at 10:30 A.M. If shelters are not removed by the deadline, owners will be prosecuted and structures may be confiscated, removed or destroyed.
