St. Cloud State University’s Public Safety department issued a campus- wide notification about an aggravated assault near campus late last week. It was reported that two St. Cloud men were assaulted by three other men after the entire group got off the Metro Bus. The attack took place at around 2:30 a.m., on Friday on the west side of 5th Ave. S. and 8th St. S., when the bus stopped and all five men exited. One of the victims suffered minor injuries and the other had his personal items damaged before the three men ran away. Police were not able to find them. Public Safety says there are a few things you can do to reduce your risk of becoming a victim, be mindful of who is around you, if you feel in danger, attract attention anyway you can, report any suspicious person/incident by calling 911, and always walk in groups.
