Archived: Wright County Public Health is Looking for Volunteers

Remember the scare of the flu shot shortage? Drills are being worked on to prevent such a thing from happening again. Wright County Public Health is looking for volunteers to take part in a public health exercise drill. The drill will help local public health staff practice plans that have been developed for a large-scale disease outbreak. Officials need volunteers on Tuesday, June 28th for a drill at Zimmerman High School. Volunteers are needed from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and will go through a mock clinic like they would in real life if they needed medication to prevent an illness. The drill will help local public health staff practice plans as required by the Public Health Emergency Preparedness program.
