Presidential hopeful and 6th District Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she – and not her husband – is running for the White House and that questions about their family business and finances are off-limits.

Speaking Thursday in Washington, Bachmann again declined to answer questions about Marcus Bachmann’s Christian counseling center that has attempted to convert gay patients. She says she’s proud of her husband of 32 years but refused to answer a question on her beliefs on gay therapy.

She also faced questions about her opposition to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The Washington Post this week reported its review of the Bachmanns’ loan documents suggests they took advantage of those lenders’ federally subsidized programs.

Bachmann says it’s impossible to buy a home without government involvement. She says she still wants to scrap those programs.
