Filmmakers are creating a documentary about Jacob Wetterling, but they’re holding a trailer release party to get more funding.

Owl Marketing says Jacob’s parents, Patty and Jerry Wetterling, will be guest speakers at the event. Director Chris Newberry and representatives from the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center will be speaking alongside them.

The event will also include a first look at the documentary and a discussion with filmmakers.

The footage is ready for editing and post-production, but the trailer release party is designed to help the filmmakers take it to the next stage.

The party will take place on Monday, May 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Bad Habit Brewing in St. Joseph. For more information, you can visit KVSC’s Area Event page.
