Archived: Milk Truck Crashes Into School Bus

No one was hurt after a crash involving a school bus and a milk truck Wednesday morning in Farming Township. The bus held seven children and the driver, 53-year-old Sally Jaeger of Richmond. The bus was stopped in front of a house to pick up a student when it was hit by the milk truck being driven by 36-year-old Darren Swart of Pennock and was loaded with more than 19,000 gallons of milk. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says Swart tried to stop but slid on the icy road into the school bus, pushing it backwards about 10 feet. No injuries were reported from either vehicle. The crash is still under investigation.
