Archived: Police Respond to Suicide Threat

St. Cloud Police were called to the train bridge at 2nd Street North and 5th Avenue North for a suicide threat shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Police found a 19-year-old St. Cloud resident standing on the bridge threatening to jump into the river.

 Officers were able to get the victim to come off the bridge after an hour and forty-five minutes of negotiating. The victim was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital following the incident.
