The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office responded to single car crash at the intersection of County Road 2 and 421^st Street in Brockway Township, early Tuesday morning.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a power pole sheared off and power lines stretching across County Road 2.

43-year-old Aaron Salzer, of Rice told authorities that he went off the road and struck a power pole and didn’t need any medical attention. 

Salzer was placed under arrest by deputies for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, and was taken to the Stearns County Jail.  Salzer was then booked on charges of 3^rd Degree Driving While Intoxicated.
