Archived: Shotgun Fired After Argument

A man was arrested Friday evening after an argument between roommates resulted in one man firing a shotgun. St. Cloud Police were called to the 600 block of 8th Street South in response to an assault complaint at approximately 7:30 p.m. A police investigation says 20-year-old Nicholas Arlen Folk of St. Cloud had gotten into a verbal dispute with his roommate, a 20-year-old resident of St. Cloud, early Friday morning.

Folk allegedly got a shotgun from his bedroom following the dispute and fired one shot through his roommate’s bedroom doorway, while a person was standing in it. No one was injured and Folk is currently being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges for 2nd degree assault.
