Archived: Tune in for Wrestling Action

The SCSU wrestling team is finding success early in the season. Senior Shamus O’Grady is the NSIC Wrestling player of the week for his performance at the Husky Open over the weekend. O’Grady was named recipient of the John Oxton Award (MVP) as well as the Jack Gause Award (most pins in the least amount of time) and was the champion of his weight division. Clint Poster also was the champion of his division. The team is ranked second in Division Two wrestling.

The SCSU wrestling team will host their first dual of the season tonight (Dec. 11) in Halenbeck Hall at 7 p.m. The team will also be in action tomorrow night at St. John’s University. The NSIC season will start on Saturday with a home dual with Minot State. All three of these duals can be heard on the KVSC Sports Stream with John Peterson. The KVSC Sports Schedule features dates and times for wrestling coverage all season long.
