This time of year you can expect to see local carnivals featuring rodeo competitions, but have you ever heard of a bus rodeo? Metro bus is announcing the results of the local Bus Roadeo competition, in which winners are invited to join in the statewide competition. This year in the fixed route, large bus competition Aaron Marshall and Bob Braegelmann will be heading to state to compete for a chance at the national Roadeo. In the Dial-a-Ride small bus division David Peacock and Daniel Wennekamp will be advancing.
Last year Metro bus was very successful in the state competition, Fixed route driver Ken Rakke was named state champion and advanced to the APTA International Rodeo. He placed five out of fifteen competitors.
