Archived: Hazardous Waste Truck Comes to St. Augusta

Folks in the St. Augusta area looking to get rid of hazardous products lying around the house now have the chance to do so. Stearns County’s Household Hazardous Waste truck is beginning its summer collections. It will be at St. Augusta City Hall Saturday from 7:00 to 11:00 am. Products such as paints, cleaners, poisons, fuels, automotive chemicals, sealers, pool chemicals and fluorescent bulbs can be disposed of at no charge. Items that will not be accepted include used motor oil, antifreeze, explosives, furniture and medical waste. For those who cannot make this scheduled collection time, the Tri-County Household Hazardous Waste Facility in St. Cloud accepts hazardous products year-round.
